Burning Man is an annual week-long art festival held in the deserts of Northwest Nevada in the United States. Started almost 20 years ago by a handful of artists and pranksters in the San Francisco Bay Area, the event has grown to have more than 30,000 participants each year coming from around the globe.
Despite the word “Man” in the name, the event is open to all humans: men, women, children, and everyone in between. There are literally hundreds of woman-centric and woman-positive camps and events at the Burning Man festival, as well as things to do for kids of various ages.
